WikiLeaks has begun dumping thousands of emails surrounding Hillary Clinton. Before you get too excited about this, let's consider some things which are of more than a little importance.

The founder of WikiLeaks is Julian Assange, an Australian computer programmer, publisher and editor. He is a hacker and is affiliated with numerous hackers across the world including Russians who act directly at their governments behest. Hacking is a crime no matter how much we may enjoy what comes from that criminal act.

Assange has spent the past few years living in the Equadoran Embassy in London. He took this measure because he is a fugitive. He is wanted in Sweden for questioning in a case where he is alleged to have committed rape. He tried to squash that warrant for his arrest while living in London. When he failed he was granted asylum by Equador. A Swedish court just recently made it clear that warrant remains in effect. If he steps one foot out of that Embassy he will be arrested and returned to Sweden to face those charges. He maintains that his reason for not going to Sweden is because he believes he would immediately be extradited to the United States to face criminal charges for his hacking of U.S. Government computer systems and releasing Classified material. Ultimately that probably would happen after facing the music in Sweden but so what.

Assange paints himself as a hero but he is not. A hero places himself in danger to save others from danger with no thought of the consequences to themselves. This is certainly not Assange.

It cannot be determined if these emails concerning Clinton have not been tampered with. Our intelligence services have warned that Russian directed forces are involved in this and are directly attempting to interfere with our elections.

Consider this, how long have you been using emails? How many have you sent and received? What did you say in them? Do you want them made public? What about your texts? Anything there you would like to keep private?

It is irrelevant what Assange and his cadre of hackers are releasing on Hillary Clinton or anyone else because they refuse to stand up and face the consequences of their actions. Who is funding all of this? Think long and hard about that.

What is going to happen is in the near future communications between high risk targets like politicians are going to become even more secretive and there will be little to attain under the Freedom of Information Act. Assange and his associates are not helping us, they are blinding us in the long run.

And think about this, why is it there are never any WikiLeaks about Russia or their allies? Do they not have computers to hack and secrets to reveal? The answer is they do and Assange knows that he and his associates would be murdered in their sleep.
