The Republican field is dwindling. Today Rand Paul and Rick Santorum dropped out. Santorum has now endorsed Rubio so that should settle everything, game over man. I would have preferred Paul stay in and Carson drop out but we don't always get what we want. Chris Christie is attacking Marco Rubio with the veracity of a Great White Shark chomping a bloody stump. Christie actually believes he has a chance of being the antidote to take out Trump and Cruz. He just doesn't want to face that his time came and went four years ago. The citizens of New Jersey despise him and he had to be goaded into returning there during the recent major winter storms. He's an obnoxious loudmouth who never left his bullyboy persona back in the sandbox. He is clearly auditioning to be the Vice-presidential pick. The junior Senator from Kentucky, Rand Paul, announced his candidacy for President of the United States. That's two so far for the Republicans with a long list of others yet to come. Paul wants to take our country back. Isn't that what all politicians proclaim, especially Republicans. Take it back from whom? Themselves would seem to be the logical response. Isn't it funny how all of these people who fight so hard to be a part of the power structure want to dismantle it? Can you say disingenuous. While we're taking it back where is it we're taking it? The 47 U.S. Senators who signed that letter to Iran have faced so much blowback about their juvenile, yet dastardly deed many of them are trying to explain away their participation by minimizing their reason for doing it. All of the reasons are ridiculous and not worth considering. My favourite one however does merit review because it comes from a wanna be President. A few days ago during a Senate hearing with John Kerry and Ash Carter, Rand Paul said the letter wasn't for Iran, it was for him (Kerry) and the President. Really Senator Paul? Hey I got an idea, why didn't you and your cohorts address the letter to President Obama? The reason is clear. These Senators deliberately set out to try and subvert the President's negotiations with a foreign country. They tried to embarrass him on the international stage.
