Predictions and Ponderence

The case for voting against Donald Trump is YUGE, but it doesn't matter. The people who are paid to sit around at think tanks and compile data and analyze polls tell us that the backbone of Trump's supporters are poor to middle class uneducated white people. Trump himself has said at his own rallies that he "loves" the uneducated. I'm poor, white and have no formal education to speak of and Donald Trump could not sway me to do anything but run away from him.

So why has he sucked in so many people? Because he is an excellent salesman or conman, you can choose your own words, the result is the same. He has been called a P.T. Barnum for over thirty years and it is a perfect description. Barnum famously said, "there's a sucker born every minute." It's been asked why isn't Clinton miles ahead of him? The answer is shamefully evident, given a choice between a night at the circus or a day at the library, most Americans want the circus.

But when it comes time to cast the ballot here is my prediction. Predicting is meaningless and strictly for fun so take it for what it's worth. Clinton will win with 48%, Trump will get 40%, Stein will get 1% and the rest will go to Johnson. That Johnson vote will be a mixture of Republicans who can't bring themselves to vote for Clinton but despise Trump, a small number of Sanders supporters, libertarians and a couple of independents.

Trump will stomp and scream that the election was rigged like a banana republic and that the media works for the "Clinton Machine" and painted him badly and lied about him. None of which is true because he is a master of the media and it is estimated that he has been given what amounts to approximately four billion dollars in free media. Think about that number and think about what he could have achieved if he wasn't himself. His pettiness, narcissism and bullyboy tactics have been on clear display since day one of this election cycle and on the broader canvas of his forty years of public nonsense, yet he has millions of supporters which demonstrates a complete disregard for common sense by many of our fellow citizens. Now to be clear, they have the right to vote for anyone they want and believe whatever they want, I would fight for their rights but after listening to many of them I have grave doubts that they would do the same for me.

If my prediction is wrong and Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States listen for the sounds of our founding fathers spinning in their graves.
